CHITWAN, June 24: The State-3 government has allocated Rs 50 million for the construction of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium in Chitwan.
Likewise, Bharatpur Metropolitan City and its ward offices are also making preparation to allocate budget for stadium construction. According to Bharatpur Mayor Renu Dahal, the state government has already allocated Rs 50 million for the purpose. The state government seems positive to extend additional budget in course of the construction works, she added.
What is missing in budget for agriculture?
The metropolitan city which has called metropolitan assembly meeting tomorrow is preparing to allocate Rs 50 million for the same. All 29 wards of the metropolis are also preparing to allocate Rs 500,000 each for the stadium construction. As it is the multi-year project, the metropolitan city would increase its annual budget next years, she added.
Dahal further shared that the federal, state and local governments beside private sector have started putting aside money for the stadium construction. Krishna Kumar Dallakoti, chief of stadium construction cooperation committee and District Coordination Committee said all local governments are willing to extend assistance in course of the construction of cricket stadium. The construction cost is estimated to be Rs 3 billion, he shared.
