Nearly 25 participants from various backgrounds participated in the democracy camp where they were taught about good governance, human rights, sustainable development, gender equality, election systems, local governance and nonviolence. Similarly they were also trained in debating skills, advocacy and lobby, among other issues, according to the organizer.
“Unlike a typical training session, this has become a learning camp for me with a lot of group works, play and lectures, and other works, which I believe will change my behavior and perspective toward democracy,” said a participant Tribeni Kumar.
