With 1,403 new cases in the past 24 hours, the Kathmandu Valley’s COVID-19 case tally reaches 47,401

KATHMANDU, Oct 14: As many as 1,403 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were recorded in the past 24 hours in the Kathmandu Valley.

KATHMANDU, Oct 14: As many as 1,403 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were recorded in the past 24 hours in the Kathmandu Valley.


Of the 2,683 new cases recorded across the country, 1,403 were detected in the Valley alone.

As of Wednesday afternoon, 47,401 people have contracted the COVID-19 virus in the Valley.


According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 996 people in Kathmandu, 102 in Bhaktapur and 305 in Lalitpur were diagnosed with the virus on Wednesday.


The three districts – Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur – in the Valley are among the districts with the highest number of active COVID-19 cases in the country.
