His wife Sanji struck him with a stick from behind to stop him from beating up their daughter – in – law Bipana Thokar, according to Rameshwor Karki of District Police Office, Dolakha.
Karna Bahadur had arrived at his home on Friday evening in an excessively drunken state and asked for more liquor with the daughter – in – law.
He started beating up Bipana after she refused his request for more liquor. Then Sanji intervened and struck her husband with the stick from behind. Sanji has been taken under control for further investigation, police said.
