DOTI, Aug 26: House owner has padlocked the ward office of Dipayal Silgadhi municipality-1, Tikha on Sunday for not paying the house rent.


Govinda Khadka, the house owner, locked the ward office when the ward authorities were shifting the office without paying house rent of a month, shared Devendra Khadka, a local.

However, Bahadur Khadka, ward chair, claimed they have been paying off the house rent every month. "We have cleared the house rent every month. The rent of the month of Shrawan is yet to be paid. We have not yet shifted the office. I did not understand why he locked the office".


The padlocking has disrupted all the public services being delivered from the ward office.


It may be noted that the ward office and house owner Khadka had signed an agreement of Rs 5,200 to rent out the house for ward office.
