PAC forms 7-member committee to study complaints

The PAC said it has decided to summon Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, to discuss the rise in cement prices. Chairman Pokharel said that the Minister and the Secretary will be called for a discussion on Wednesday morning at 11 am.

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of parliament has formed a seven-member complaint study committee under the leadership of Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Sanjay Gautam.


PAC Chairman Rishikesh Pokharel said that the PAC’s meeting held on Tuesday formed the committee. He further added that MPs Gokul Baskota, Lekhnath Dahal, Hari Dhakal, Manju Khan, Prem Ale and Amresh Kumar Singh will be its members.

The committee has received over 100 complaints on different issues.
