Police permitted to detain Ashika Tamang for additional five days

KATHMANDU, Jan 21:  Police have been permitted to keep social activist Ashika Tamang, who was arrested for indecent behavior, in custody for an additional five days for investigation.


Earlier, the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, had given the police five days for further investigation into the matter. After the deadline expired on Monday, the police presented Tamang to the District Administration Office for a second extension.
