KATHMANDU, Aug 30: A verbal dispute broke out between House of Representatives member Ashika Tamang and ward chairs of Galchhi Rural Municipality over delays in distributing relief to flood victims.
Tamang, who visited the rural municipality office, expressed dissatisfaction after finding relief supplies received from various organisations piled up at the municipal building while affected residents had yet to receive them.

Questioning the delay three days after the floods, she urged local representatives to distribute the relief materials immediately.
Tamang said some ward chairs became angry when she questioned the delay. She said she had sought answers from local representatives because flood victims were still waiting for relief.
The dispute occurred between Tamang and Ward 6 Chair Dipak Karki while discussions on relief distribution were underway. Tamang had arrived at the rural municipality office while an executive meeting was in progress.
