SAARC member states agree to contain COVID-19

KATHMANDU, March 26: The health officials of the eight SAARC member nations held a video conference in a bid to contain the novel coronavirus in South Asia.

KATHMANDU, March 26: The health officials of the eight SAARC member nations held a video conference in a bid to contain the novel coronavirus in South Asia. 


According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, all the SAARC members agreed to create a common domain saarc-COIN.org by April 13, 2020 to share experience and information on COVID-19.

Likewise, the conference urged for cooperation and solidarity among member states against the COVID-19 pandemic.


The number of deaths and infected cases due to coronavirus is increasing day by day in South Asia.


WHO has also enlisted South Asia as a very vulnerable region amid alamring situation.
