KATHMANDU, June 17: The exchange rate for the US dollar dropped slightly today, with the selling rate set at Rs 138.01, down from Rs 138.04 on the previous day, according to the latest data from Nepal Rastra Bank.
Meanwhile, the euro and British pound saw a slight appreciation. The selling rate for the euro climbed to Rs 159.79 from Rs 159.47, while the pound sterling rose to Rs 187.48 from Rs 187.26.

Among other major currencies, the Swiss franc remained stable at Rs 170.16. The Australian, Canadian, and Singaporean dollars all posted minor gains. The Australian dollar is now selling at Rs 89.98, the Canadian dollar at Rs 101.68, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 107.82.
The Japanese yen and Chinese yuan remained unchanged, holding steady at Rs 9.58 per 10 units and Rs 19.22, respectively.
Conversely, slight drops were recorded in the values of the Saudi Riyal (now Rs 36.77) and the Qatari Riyal (now Rs 37.86).
These adjustments come amid global currency fluctuations influenced by economic trends and interest rate movements.
