KATHMANDU, Aug 13: CPN-UML's General Secretary Shanker Pokharel has said that the minimum wage of the workers that has to be increased every two years has remained the same in the last three years.
In his address to the inauguration of the 10th Union Council of General Federation of Nepalese Trade Union (GEFONT) underway in Bhaktapur, he lambasted non-implementation of minimum wage till the second week of August which had to come into effect on July 17.

He accused the government policy of being responsible for pushing the Nepali workers to foreign employment every year.
GEFONT patron and UML's deputy general secretary Bishnu Rimal said GEFONT should develop it as an organization of producers in the changed context.
As many as 307 delegates from across the country are participating in the event, informed GEFONT Chairperson Binod Shrestha.
