Govt approves Vehicle and Traffic Management (Tenth Amendment) Regulations, 2081

KATHMANDU, Dec 27: The government has given theoretical approval to draft a bill to make arrangements for  benefits for former high-ranking officials.


Prithvi Subba Gurung, spokesperson for the government and Minister for Communications and Information Technology provided this information while announcing the decision of the Council of Ministers meeting held on Tuesday.

According to Gurung, the government has decided to form a recommendation committee, consisting of the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and Jyoti Chandra Ojha, under the leadership of the concerned member of the National Planning Commission’s relevant sector, for the purpose of recommending the appointment of the Chairman of the Nepal Insurance Authority and determining crimes related to human trafficking, hundi, use of virtual currency, illegal transactions, match-fixing and irregularity and casino operation without permission as a serious offence, as specified in Asset (Money) Laundering Prevention Act, 2008.


The government has decided to recommend to the President the issuance of an ordinance to amend certain provisions of the Cooperative Act of Nepal and to approve the establishment and operation of land revenue and survey offices in Pokhariya of Parsa district, Sinja, Narakot of Jumla district, and Boadgaon of Kapilvastu district to managed manpower through the approved posts of  the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation or its affiliated bodies.
