UDMF cadres torch cargo truck carrying medicines in Birgunj

BARA, Nov 20:  Cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) have torched a truck carrying drugs in Birgunj, Parsa district on Friday morning.



They torched the truck, Na 2 Kha 8392, in front of the office of National Trading Limited today.

UDMF cadres carried out the act a day after top leaders of the UDMF decided to allow the movement of cargo vehicles carrying medicines.

According to DSP Hobendra Bogati the incident took place at around 1 am today.


FIre has completely destroyed the drugs.


Businessmen have termed the incident as an unfortunate one as preparations were on to send the medicines following the decision of the UDMF leaders to allow the movement of cargo vehicles carrying medicines.
