Two missing children found dead in pond

SIRAHA, July 2: Two missing children have died after drowning in a pond in Khoriya Tole of Naraha Rural Municipality-3, Siraha.

The deceased have been identified as Rahul Mandal, 6, and Aashish Mandal, 8.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Muktinath Sapkota, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Siraha said that those children, who had been missing since Monday afternoon, were found dead in the pond of Basanta Yadav on Tuesday morning.

The bodies of the deceased have been kept in Provincial Hospital Siraha for post-mortem. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
