Two Indian nationals involved in smuggling mobile phones arrested

UDAYAPUR, August 9: Police have arrested two Indian nationals from Triyuga Municipality-6 on charge of their involvement in smuggling mobile phones and other materials.

UDAYAPUR, August 9: Police have arrested two Indian nationals from Triyuga Municipality-6 on charge of their involvement in smuggling mobile phones and other materials. 


The police have recovered 43 sets of Chinese mobiles, 6 music speakers, 47 pieces of dresses, 21 pieces of ladies bag and nine ladies purses without any bills and tax clearance certificates from their vehicle (Ko 1 Ja 3441) during a security checking, according to the District Police Office, Udayapur.

Police have taken 35-year-old Rameshwar Sahani and 32-year-old Ramesh Sahani of Sitamadi, India into custody for further investigation. 


According to SP Subash Chandra Bohara, the recovered items have been sent to the Taxpayer Service Office in Gaighat. Further investigation into the incident is currently underway.
