European Union’s support to the Competitiveness of Quality Coffee in Nepal aims to target coffee growers and cooperatives; especially farmers from disadvantaged communities, who would benefit from technical assistance to enhance the competitiveness of organic coffee production, improve the productivity and extend best practices on harvesting and processing.

“This will also help to conduct market study and promotion, including tourism activities in growing areas,” the statement said, adding that this support is a part of the ‘Support for Trade and Economic Capacity Building: Trade and Private Sector Development Program’ launched by the government and the EU in September 2014.
