KATHMANDU, Oct 10: Police have arrested two individuals for attacking Punya Gautam, who went viral on social media for various expressions. The attack on Gautam occurred on October 7 at around 9:15 PM in Beshigaun, Gokarneshwor Municipality, Kathmandu. As a result of the attack, Gautam suffered a head injury and had to be hospitalized.
In this regard, a team from the District Police Office, Kathmandu, and the Boudha Police Circle reported that they arrested the two individuals during their investigation and search operations.

The arrested individuals are Sanjeev Tamang, also known as Tashi Lama, from Temal Rural Municipality in Kavre, currently residing in Chyamasingh, Bhaktapur, and Dil Bahadur Gandan, 41, known as Milan, from Naukunda Rural Municipality in Rasuwa, currently living in Gokarneshwar Municipality, Kathmandu, according to the police.
The police reported that Sanjeev was arrested on Tuesday and Dil Bahadur on Wednesday. Investigations have been initiated against both individuals under the charge of attempted murder.
