Man accused of attacking YAN member arrested

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: Police has arrested a man accused of attacking Santosh Budhathoki, a member of Youth Association of Nepal (YAN), in Kohalpur with a khukuri.

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: Police has arrested a man accused of attacking Santosh Budhathoki, a member of Youth Association of Nepal (YAN), in Kohalpur with a khukuri.



Laxman Malla, the main accused behind the attack, was arrested from Balaju of the Capital City on Saturday.



Budhathoki was attacked by a group including Malla on December 29 at Kohalpur Municipality-10.



Bheri Zonal SSP Dhiru Basnet said that police arrested Malla as his involvement in the attack was established through an investigation.



An investigation team arrested Malla, who had fled to Kathmandu from Banke after the incident.



He is kept at Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju.
