Supporting Ram Sahay, Pramila Yadav withdraws her candidacy for vice presidency

KATHMANDU, March 13: Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal (JSP) vice presidential candidate Pramila Kumari Yadav has withdrawn her candidature.

KATHMANDU, March 13: Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal (JSP) vice presidential candidate Pramila Kumari Yadav has withdrawn her candidature.


In a statement issued on Monday, she said that she had withdrawn her candidacy for vice president.

“Honorable Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, an intellectual and mature leader with a simple life, spotless and clean image and high thoughts, who is sincerely dedicated to the country's sovereignty, national independence, inclusiveness, federal democratic republic, social justice and socialism, is more like the Vice President. He is the most suitable, qualified and capable candidate for the dignified post,” she said, “Though technically my name has been included in the list of candidates, I hereby announce that I have withdrawn my candidacy in support of him.”


Three candidates were nominated from the ruling coalition and one candidate from CPN-UML for the position of Vice President.


The Vice President election will take place on 17th March
