Krishna Karki and Sanjam Regmi took two wickets each while Nepali captain Paras Khadka claimed a wicket. Shekhar Darli (36 runs) and Nikhil Shetty (35 runs) were the other major contributors for Bhiwanadi Taluka. In reply, Nepal was all out for 126 runs in 18.4 overs.
Prithu Baskota, who took four catches in the match, was the top-scorer in Nepali side. Baskota scored 32 runs of 16 balls. Paras Khadka (19 runs), Anil Mandal (18 runs), Sharad Vesawkar (18 runs) and Gyanendra Malla (16 runs) were the other contributors for Nepali team.
Sait Shaikh took four wickets for Bhiwandi Taluka while Suresh Pradhi claimed three wickets. Darshan Bhoir took two and Raju Boga claimed a wicket for the home team.

Champapur, Khumaltar win matches
KATHMANDU: Champapur Youth Club defeated Shree Gorakhkali Youth Club 3-0 in the Sunakothi Cup Open Lalitpur District-wide Football Tournament on Sunday. Aangse Tamang gave a lead to Champapur in the 18th minute. Makar Dhan Gurung doubled the lead in the 78th minute while Roshan Shrestha ensured the win with a goal in the 83rd minute. In another match, Khumaltar Youth Club thrashed Chandra Bhairav Club 5-2.
Chandra Bhairav could not take the game in its side despite the first minute goal from Deepak Shrestha. Rajan Bista completed hat-trick for Khumaltar while Pramesh Khatri and Sajan Thapa scored a goal each. Anup KC returned a goal for Chandra Bhairav to narrow down the goal margin.
Mahendra Bhawan reaches semifinal
KATHMANDU: Mahendra Bhawan and Valley Public advanced to the semifinal of the Second Innovative Inter School Basketball Tournament on Sunday in the girls´ category. Mahendra Bhawan defeated Valley Public 37-12 with 23 points from Shanti Shrestha. Mahendra Bhawan advanced to the semifinal as group ´A´ winner. In another match, Valley Public thrashed Awareness International Academy (AIA) 23-2 and advanced to the semifinal as group runner up. In another league match, New Summit edged past Rose Bud 17-10.
In senior boy´ category, Subash Bhujel´s 20 points guided Kathmandu English School for a 50-34 win over Chadani and confirmed quarterfinal spot. Similarly, in the junior boys´ category, host Innovative, Greenland and Gyan Niketan fixed semifinal spot. Innovative thumped AIA 27-24, Greenland beat VS Niketan 24-16 and Gyan Niketan routed Golden Peak 20-6.
New Shrine, Deneb in QF
KATHMANDU: New Shrine and Deneb on Sunday fixed quarterfinal spots in the junior boys´ section of the First NOBS Inter School Basketball Tournament. New Shrine overcame host NOBS 11-9 with nine points from Tarun Shah. Birendra Sen´s 10 points guided Deneb for a 29-17 win over Opal.
NCC to meet host in final
KATHMANDU: Nepal Commerce Campus (NCC) entered into the final of the GP Koirala Memorial Cup Nation-wide Volleyball Tournament. NCC defeated Baneshwar Campus 22-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-16 in the semifinal match played on the court of the host Shankar Dev Campus on Sunday. NCC will meet Shankar Dev Campus (Blue), which defeated Public Youth Campus on Saturday.
Kathmandu Valley lifts title
KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Valley clinched the title of the Fourth Valley-wide Inter School Junior Boys´ Knockout Football Tournament on Sunday. Kathmandu Valley edged past Amar English School 5-2 in the final match played on the ground of the host Loyalty Academy, Mandikhatar. Kiran Bhattarai scored two goals for the winning side while Tenjing Sherpa and Arik Bista added a goal each. Amar School conceded an own goal.
Rajib Dangol scored two goals for the runner-up team. Dangol scored 18 goals in the tournament and received the award for the highest scorer. Amit Magar of Kathmandu Valley, Shan Dangol of Amar School, Arik Bista of Kathmandu Valley received awards for the best goalkeeper, best defender and best striker respectively. Bright Future won the fair play trophy. State Minister for Youth and Sports Gopi Achhami handed over prizes and awards to winners.
