Second dose of Vero Cell to be administered in all 32 wards of capital

KATHMANDU, August 6: As many as 32 vaccination centers have been established inside Kathmandu to administer the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. 

According to Kari Bahadur Kunwar, chief of the health department of the metropolis, people should complete 21 days after receiving their first dose to receive their second dose and bring their vaccination card along with them while coming to the vaccination centers. 

The distribution of the vaccines will start at 10AM and will continue till 5PM at all designated vaccination centers till next Sunday.

Earlier, the metropolis had designated 12 vaccination centers to administer the vaccines from July 13 till July 15. However, additional vaccination centers had been established in all wards of the city to minimize the increasing crowds at the vaccination centers.

So far, 72,644 people have been infected by COVID-19 in Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Of them 68,771 have already recovered while 510 have died from the deadly infection. There are currently 3,363 active cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu city.
