KATHMANDU, August 4: The government has announced to administer the second dose of Vero cell vaccine against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) from August 6.
People who are older than 55 years and those who previously received the first dose of the vaccines from July 6 will receive their second dose, according to a press statement of the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

As of Tuesday, as many as 2,002,703 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 while 4,254,540 have received their first shots, according to the ministry.
Likewise, Nepal has administered 1,828,484 first doses and 460,308 second doses of Covishield, 2 426,056 first doses and 730,642 second doses of Vero cell and 811,753 doses of J&J vaccines so far.
