Government appeals public not to participate in pro-monarchy protests

The Ministry of Health and Population has been tasked with making arrangements for the treatment of the injured, he added.

KATHMANDU, April 1: The government has requested the general public not to participate in the pro-monarchy group's unruly protests. On Tuesday, while announcing the decisions of the Cabinet meeting, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, made this appeal.


Minister Gurung said that the government has decided to provide treatment for those injured during the protest at Tinkune last Friday. “The Ministry of Home Affairs has been directed to investigate the incident at Tinkune, take action against the perpetrators, and ensure such events do not repeat in the future,” he said.

He further added, “The Nepal government sincerely appeals to the general public not to engage in such unruly activities.”
