KATHMANDU, Jan 19: SB Furniture announced the opening of its new showroom in the Kathmandu Valley, on Friday.
SB Furniture, a Thai brand, was brought into the Nepali market by SN Joshi and Sons Pvt Ltd nine years ago.
The 6,000 square-foot store will be the second store of the Thai brand in Nepal, which is operating in over 40 countries.

The store features furniture from kitchenware to office essentials, catering to a wide range of consumers.
"We are very optimistic to open a new store in Kathmandu which is a huge market for us," an official of the company said.
The manufacturer offers a wide range of products like beds, sofas, entertainment systems, and dining sets, among others.
The shop also provides house mattresses and bed linen from LOTUS, a Thai brand, aside from the furniture lineup.
SB Furniture offers E1 quality (European Quality) in all its products and also marketing Smart Home Appliances – aimed to provide effective energy management. The products in this category includes smart-socket, video camera – 720p and 1080p, smart lock and smart LED strip which works synonymously with Homemate app which is used to control the home appliances over Wi-Fi.
With the vision to become a one-stop solution for consumers looking to purchase sleek and modern interior décor at a reasonable price, SB Furniture is looking to boost costumers' confidence by building brand trust and expand its clientele by opening its new showroom.
The showroom will provide 15 percent discount in its entire product lineup for the first month and additional discount in some specific products.
The first showroom which opened in 2009 is spread over 15,000 square feet, and is located at Lagankhel of Patan.
