KATHMANDU, April 24: Defending champion Samrakshak Bhusan Bajracharya and Pranav Khanal have entered the men's singles quarterfinals of the ongoing Citizens Bank Open Tennis Tournament on Monday.
In the matches played at Satdobato Tennis Court, Samrakshak handed a double bagel to Tanuj Agrwal while Pranav saw off Bikash Khadka 6-2, 6-2.
In the other matches of the same event, Kumar Adhikari beat Kubehang Chemjong by 6-0, 6-0, Dawa Sherpa overcame Avinabh Acharya 6-0, 6-1 and Anil Shahi saw off Subrat Basnet by 6-1, 6-1.
Similarly in the remaining matches of the same event, Santosh Khatri, Jitendra Pariyar and Nabin Magar emerged victorious as they defeated Pradip Khatri, Ranjan Shrestha and Adit Subedi respectively.
Santosh saw off Pradip 6-4, 6-4, Jitendra defeated Ranjan 6-0, 6-0 and Nabin beat Adit 7-5, 6-0.

Likewise in the men's doubles section, the pairs of Kumar and Jitendra; Bikash Khadka and Pradip Khadka; Santosh Khatri and Dawa Sherpa; Shaym GC and Anjan Thing reached the semifinals.
Meanwhile in the mixed doubles category, the pairs of Samrakshak and Mayanka Rana; Nabin Magar and Prerana Koirala; Shakti Sharma and Ganga Sharma advanced to the semifinals. Likewise, the pair comprising of Sriram Magar and Ira Rawat also booked their place in the last four in the same event.
