KATHMANDU, April 4: Nepal Taekwondo Association on Monday felicitated taekwondo medalists of the 12th South Asian Games (SAG) held in India from February 5 to 16.
Ayasha Shakya, Yan Kumari Chaulagain, Gyani Chunara, Nima Sang Gurung, Rejina Karki, Bir Bahadur Mahara and Sakshyam Karki had earned silver medal for Nepal in the sports extravaganza. Similarly, Nischal Man Shrestha, Ram Hari Mahat, Sunil Paudel were the bronze medalists.
UUNTF to honor medalists of Asian Games with cash prize
The silver medalists were given Rs 17,000 each and bronze medalists were given Rs 10,000 along with letter of appreciation. Minister for Youth and Sports Satya Narayan Mandal distributed the prizes.
Besides the players, chief coach Dhruba Gurung and coaches Sangina Baidya, Nabin Shrestha, Deepak Bista and Ganesh Jimba were also honored. Team manager Suman Ghale and other participating players were also honored on the occasion.
