Speaking at an interaction organized by Rafat Sanchar Club in Bhaktapur, he added that the major political parties should give up on their bid to form a national consensus government and opt for a small-size democratically elected government comprising experienced politicians.[break]
Thapa also opined that the major political parties have lost their confidence for new polls and are trying to empty the state coffers by establishing syndicates in the name of consensus.
"The dissolution of Constituent Assembly was pre-mediated," Thapa charged, adding, "UCPN (Maoist) is trying to capture state power and impose authoritarian rule, whereas Nepali Congress and CPN-UML in the guise of democracy are trying to be despotic ."
Thapa also urged President Ram Baran Yadav to remain alert as the top political parties are forcing him to take unconstitutional steps for their benefit.
He was also of the opinion that with the dissolution of CA, all of its decisions, including the one to go for republican system, have been annulled, which he said implies that the country´s return to monarchy.
