KATHMANDU, Nov 11: Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Kamal Thapa has urged Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba not to be aggressive towards the former king. Chairman Thapa made the request through a social networking site after Prime Minister Deuba challenged former King Gyanendra Shah to contest election if he had any wish to rule the country.
Maoist Chairman Dahal ‘heaps praise’ on King Mahendra for start...
Thapa said, “I urge PM Deuba to give good governance, but not show anger against the former king. Right now, courts are on strike, parliamentary sessions are obstructed, the government is involved in corruption, proselytisation is rampant, and four million youths have gone abroad in search of employment. The federal republic has already failed and this is not the time to vent your anger against the king.”
