Provincial govt working on visa, labor permit for smooth GBIA operation

Stating that an enabling environment for investment has been created after the operation of GBIA, Chief Minister Acharya asked investors to make investments with confidence. He also expressed readiness to amend laws if they were hindering investment.

LUMBINI, Nov 29: Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chet Narayan Acharya, has said that the provincial government is making efforts to ensure public service delivery on visa and labor permit approval, health checkups, and other tasks to regularly operate the Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) in Lumbini.  


At an interaction programme on 'Sustainable Operation, Investment, and Possibilities of GBIA’ on Thursday, Chief Minister Acharya said that international flights from Lumbini have opened up opportunities for the local community. He urged the federal government to provide rights to carry out procedural jobs for visa issuance, labor permit approval, and others.

Chief Minister Acharya said that the provincial government would create opportunities to arrange trips for the Lumbini Tourism Circuit for tourists visiting Lumbini. Jointly organized by Nepal Chamber Lumbini and other organizations, the event saw the participation of entrepreneurs and the business community.  


Speaking at the event, businesspersons said that the development of the tourism industry is likely in Lumbini after the operation of international flights from GBIA.
