This service will be gradually initiated from other diplomatic missions too, Minister Bhandari added.
Stating that a large number of youth were working abroad and foreign employment was the key source for remittance in the country, Minister Bhandari stressed the need for making contextual policies for the protection of Nepali migrant workers as a part of better migration governance.
Likewise, Ambassador of Nepal to UAE Tej Bahadur Oli said the embassy was committed to protecting the rights of Nepali migrant workers and added that the embassy was working to provide effective service despite limited means and resources.
According to the embassy, representatives of different organizations from the diaspora community, Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA), and others were present at the event.
On the occasion, an interaction on labor was also held.
Minister Bhandari is in Dubai for his participation in the World Government Summit 2025.
