MAHENDRANAGAR, Dec 6: The Sudurpaschim Province government has expedited preparations to stop the breach of the Omicron variant after it was detected in various countries including neighboring India.
A meeting of officials concerned of Sudurpaschim Province held on Monday directed hospitals and medical equipment suppliers to make necessary preparations to help prevent the spread of Omicron and stay prepared to deal with the fresh outbreak of COVID-19.

According to the Provincial Health Directorate, the meeting held under the chair of Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatta emphasized the management of the hospital and directed all bodies concerned to keep health equipment including ventilator, intensive care unit, and medical oxygen ready for any kind of eventualities.
The management of human resources has also been prioritized for the health sector. “People entering Nepal from the province’s border are being checked for symptoms of COVID-19,” spokesperson of the Health Directorate Hemraj Joshi informed Republica. He also said that the preparation are underway to keep people suspicious of the virus in a quarantine facility has also been made.
