KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Newly appointed Minister for Industry Nabindra Raj Joshi today said he would look to prepare program and policy by prioritizing community-based industry.
Minister Joshi assumed his post at the Ministry after the oath taking ceremony and directed the employees to make the public service people oriented. "I will do my service in a way that the people will understand, the facilities entitled to them should not be inadequate," he said.
Stating his conviction to facilitate the issues to be broached by the civil servants, Minister Joshi directed them to work responsibly.
The Minister underscored the need to lend more priority to the agro-based industry and promote employment. The sources and tools should be used at the maximum level to bring about a result, he said.
Minister Joshi also relayed the experience he gained during the term as the deputy major of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC).
On the occasion, Industry Secretary, Shanker Prasad Koirala, said as industrialization was the only option for economic prosperity everyone should focus towards that end.
The Secretary briefed the Minister on regular disruption of power to industrial sectors, lack of infrastructure, bazaar management issues, lack of raw materials and friendly manner as coming in the way of sector development. RSS
