Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund accumulates Rs 1.81 billion

KATHMANDU, Oct 23: A total of Rs 1.81 billion has been accumulated in the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund.


Various organizations, institutions and companies have contributed funds to the Disaster Relief Fund as of October 20, according to sources at the Prime Minister's Office. Additionally, individuals have also contributed to the fund.

The government has been using the funds to provide relief and rehabilitation for citizens affected by the floods and landslides that occurred on September 27 and 28. To facilitate the delivery of aid to disaster-affected areas, the government has declared certain areas as severely affected or affected by the floods and landslides.
