President's Women Upliftment Programme kicks off in Morang

PATHARI, April 2: The President's Women Upliftment Programme (PWUP) under the Policy and Programme of the ongoing fiscal year 2016-2017 has been launched in Morang.

PATHARI, April 2: The President's Women Upliftment Programme (PWUP) under the Policy and Programme of the ongoing fiscal year 2016-2017 has been launched in Morang. 



As part of the programme, women engaged in the informal sector will be given a three months' training on sewing and beauty parlour courses. 



The PWUP has started with a five-year concept plan, shared Durga Bhandari Baral, Chief Women Development Official. 



Chief District Officer (CDO), Yagya Raj Koirala, said the government's policy would be a success if skill-based training programmes can be implemented for women's empowerment. 



The women participating from 50 VDCs will be given training at Man Mohan Smriti Polytechnic and Shailaja Acharya Smriti Polytechnic. RSS
