KATHMANDU, Sept 14: Power supply will be disrupted for three to five hours in various areas of Kathmandu today. Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)  issued a notice stating that several locations under the Ason and Mahabauddha feeders of the Ratnapark Distribution Center will experience the outage.


The NEA has announced that power will be disrupted on Saturday from 2 PM to 5 PM in areas under the Ason feeder, including Ratnapark Garden, Bhotahiti Sajha Bhandar, Ason Chowk, Bangemudha, Bhedasingh, Indra Chowk, in front of Suraj Arcade, and Masala Galli.

The NEA has announced that power will be disrupted from 8 AM to 2 PM in areas under the Mahabauddhaa feeder of the Ratnapark Distribution Center. This includes the Mahabauddha substation, New Road Gate, Ranjana Hall, inside the Bishal Bazaar substation, in front of Bishal Bazaar, Ganeshthan, upto cable head behind Trauma Hospital.


The NEA has stated that the power outage is necessary to shut down the feeder for underground cable work in those areas. If the scheduled work is completed ahead of time, power service will resume earlier than the designated time.
