Police submit report on investigation against RSP Chair Lamichhane

KATHMANDU, Dec 16: The police have submitted the investigation report against Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Basant Sharma of the District Police Office, Kaski, former DIG of the police, Chhavilal Joshi, is also a defendant in the case.


In the report, the police have requested action against Lamichhane for cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering.


Former deputy prime minister and home minister Lamichhane was arrested on November 3 from Kathmandu. After that, he was taken to Pokhara, Rupandehi, Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Parsa, where his statements related to the mismanagement of funds from various cooperatives were recorded.
