BARA, Jan 30: Police seized approximately 210 kilograms of illegal marijuana from Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-1, Pathlaiya on Wednesday night.
According to the District Police Office, Bara, police deployed from the Police Highway Safety and Traffic Management Office Pathalaiya, conducted a routine checking on a pickup truck (Ba Pra 03-001 Cha 3227), coming from Amlekhganj towards Pathlaiya. During the check, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled. Upon searching the vehicle, police found a large quantity of marijuana hidden inside a wooden box concealed in the vehicle and seized the marijuana.

Police are currently conducting a search operation to locate the absconding driver as well as conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
