KATHMANDU, Jan 30: Nepal Women's National Cricket Team won the toss and opted to field against the Netherlands in the opening match of the women's T20I series at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
This tri-nation series features Nepal, the Netherlands, and Thailand. Notably, this is the first-ever meeting between Nepal and the Netherlands in women's cricket, adding excitement to the competition.

In the latest ICC Women’s T20 rankings, Thailand is ranked 13th, the Netherlands 16th, and Nepal 20th. Each team will play three matches against the other two, making a total of six matches in the series.
The Nepali team will face the Netherlands on February 2, Thailand on February 4, the Netherlands again on February 5 and Thailand again on February 7. Since there is no final, the team that wins the most matches and gets the highest points by the end of all the matches will be the winner of the series.
The Nepali team has entered the field under the captaincy of Indu Barma.
