KATHMANDU, July 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has arrived in Helambu Rural Municipality for onsite observation of the flood and landslide-ravaged Helambu and Melamchi area.
PM Oli flew to Helambu and will be visiting Melamchi Rural Municipality later today.
Oli will also visit Ganeshebagar after holding discussions with the people's representatives and locals at Melamchi Ghyang.
PM Oli is also scheduled to make an aerial inspection of the main tunnel of the Melamchi Water Supply Project.
He is accompanied by Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Basanta Kumar Nembang, among other officials.
Incessant rain on June 15 with the onset of the monsoon triggered floods and landslide in the area causing loss of life and property.
Whatever Oli has announced for the people of flood- and landslide-hit Helambu and Melamchi is too little and too late.
