Panel formed for free and fair elections

JANAKPUR, June 1: An investigation committee has been formed in Dhanusha with the objective of creating a free and fair environment for the success of the second round of the local elections.

The team has been formed under the leadership of Ashok Datta, the chairperson of Association of Community Radio Broadcasters, Dhanusha. Binod Mahara, district representative of Insec Nepal has been chosen as the secretary of the committee, which has altogether nine members. Similarly, journalist as well as chairperson of the Human Rights Inspection Committee Suresh Yadav, representative of Third Alliance Kiran Karna, Birendra Karna, Support Nepal member Prakash Thakur, chairperson of the District Women's Rights Concern Group Urmila Yadav and Human Rights officers Dipendra Das, and Sudha Karna are the other members of the committee.


The committee plans to monitor the polling centers before, during and after the elections.
