KATHMANDU, June 24: A man died after being hit by a lightning strike in Bardiya district. Rohit Tharu died after being struck by lightning when he was plowing a field in Ganeshpur, Geruwa Rural Municipality-3.

According to Tulsi Ram Aryal, deputy superintendent of police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Bardiya, Tharu passed away this morning while undergoing treatment at Rajapur Primary Health Center.
