One killed in Bardiya road accident

BARDIYA, Nov 25: One person was killed after a passenger vehicle struck a motorcycle in Bardiya.


The victim, identified as 54-year-old Chetuwa Tharu of Rajapur Municipality-8, Bhojpur, succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident.

The incident occurred on Sunday evening at Dhobinpur when a Force vehicle (Lu 2 Kha 5919) traveling from Rajapur to Gulariya collided with a motorcycle (Bhe 4 Pa 783) heading in the same direction.


According to the police, Tharu was critically injured and died while undergoing treatment.


Following the accident, locals and relatives of the deceased blocked the Postal Road in Bhogpur, halting traffic in protest.


While the blockade initially disrupted vehicular movement, authorities diverted traffic, allowing vehicles to resume their routes.
