KATHMANDU, Oct 29: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday escalated by 46.69 points to close at 2,692.05 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,645.36 points, continued to surge and hit the day’s high at 2,692.11 points when only 17 minutes of trading time was left. The market shed nominal points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, also added 8.33 points. The daily turnover inclined to Rs 6.12 billion from Rs 5.34 billion on Monday.
Among individual companies, 221 were gainers whereas only 17 companies were recorded as losers.
All the 13 trading groups were registered as gainers. Non-life insurance added the largest of 459.80 points while life insurance, hotels and tourism, and development banks also also surged by three-digit points.
Samriddhi Finance Company Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 247.15 million. Saptakoshi Development Bank, Sanima GIC Insurance Limited and Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited had their share values surged by the largest of 10 percent. NIFRA Urja Rinpatra witnessed its market value decline by 1.95 percent, highest among the losers.
