KATHMANDU, Nov 17: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday increased by 25.57 points as the daily turnover was recorded at a notable amount of Rs 1.715 billion.
The market nodded positively in the aftermath of Nepal Rastra Bank unveiling improved macroeconomic indicators on Wednesday. In two consecutive days, the market increased by around 39 points.
Nepal primed for bronze in men's singles and mixed doubles
On Thursday trading, the secondary market opened at 1,911.26 points and escalated to the day’s high at 1,939.58 points. In the last one hour, the market fell by around three points before it closed at 1,936.83 points.
All the 13 trading groups gained in their average market values. Manufacturing and processing and non-life insurance gained three-digit points in their indices.
Overall, 172 companies gained in their market prices while 13 companies’ shares prices dropped. Ridi Power Company the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 143.91 million. Sikles Hydropower Limited was the topmost gainer while Forward Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha lost the highest percent in its market price.
