KATHMANDU, Oct 17: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday increased marginally by 2.47 points to close at 2,745.36 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,742.88 points and fell to the day’s low at 2,735.18 points in the first half an hour. The market went into an upward graph and reached the day’s high at 2,780.97 points when the trading time was left for the last 50 minutes. The market lost around 35 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, also added 1.31 points. The daily turnover jumped to Rs 7.19 billion from Rs 5.66 billion on Wednesday.
Among individual companies, 89 were gainers whereas 142 companies were recorded as the losers.
Seven out of the 13 groups were the gainers of the day. Manufacturing and processing group added 15.56 points to its index, the largest of all. Of the losers, hotels and tourism lost the biggest of 100.63 points.
Kumari Bank Limited had the biggest turnover of its shares worth Rs 331.39 million. Goodwill Finance Limited gained the largest of 7.63 percent of its market price. Upper Syange Hydropower Limited by losing 5.19 percent of its market value was recorded as the topmost loser.
