KATHMANDU, Sept 21: Passport printing and distribution services have been affected after a bus caught fire in front of the Department of Passports (DoP), disrupting electricity and internet services at the department.
The DoP said in a notice issued Monday that the fire caused interruptions to its electricity and internet services, directly affecting passport printing and making distribution difficult.

The DoP has urged applicants who have already submitted their applications to remain patient until the services return to normal.
Passport application collection will continue as usual, the DoP said. It added that passport distribution services will resume normally once the technical problems are resolved.
