NEPSE employees push for capital market expert as CEO

KATHMANDU, Feb 6: The NEPSE Employees Association (NEA) has called for the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with expertise in the capital market for the Nepal Stock Exchange.


The NEPSE Employees Association in a statement emphasized the need for a knowledgeable individual to lead NEPSE as the current CEO's term nears its end.

The Association has urged the Finance Ministry to select a candidate with the necessary knowledge, skills and professional competence in the capital market, someone ethical, committed to its development, capable of protecting investor interests and leading NEPSE’s restructuring efforts.


The three-year tenure of CEO Krishna Bahadur Karki is set to expire on February 7. Karki, appointed during the tenure of then-Minister Janardan Sharma, will complete his three-year term as per the agreement with the Ministry of Finance
