Nepal records highest single-day recovery of 1,814 COVID-19 patients

KATHMANDU, Sept 6: As many as 1,814 people who had earlier tested positive for COVID-19 recovered and returned home in the past 24 hours in Nepal.

KATHMANDU, Sept 6: As many as 1,814 people who had earlier tested positive for COVID-19 recovered and returned home in the past 24 hours in Nepal.


According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 recovery tally now stands at 28,941.

As of Sunday afternoon, 2,458 COVID-19 patients in Province 1 and 8,127 in Province 2 have recovered and returned home. Similarly the recovery tally in Bagmati Province stands at 3,659 while that in Gandaki Province and Province 5 stand at 1,805 and 5,355, respectively. Similarly, 2,279 patients have recovered and returned home in Karnali Province and 5,258 in Sudur-paschim Province.


Similarly, the health ministry also confirmed nine more COVID-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours. Two of them are females and seven are males.


The deceased females were from Morang and Jhapa districts and the males were each from Morang, Parsa, Dhanusha and Chitwan and three from Kathmandu districts.


With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 289.
