Nepal’s COVID-19 case tally hits 188,883 with 2,909 new cases detected on Friday


KATHMANDU, Nov 6: The number of people getting over the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has reached 152,908 as 4,500 more people won their fight against the pandemic on Friday.

This is the highest single-day COVID-19 recovery reported in Nepal since the country confirmed the first case of the disease back on January 24.


The COVID-19 caseload in the country has advanced to 188,883 as 2,909 more people were diagnosed with the disease in the past one day, according to the daily COVID-19 updates released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).


The ministry also confirmed 18 new deaths on Friday. This has taken the total number of fatalities to 1,070 since the country reported the first death on May 16, earlier this year.


Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley added 1,338 new cases in the past 24 hours.
