KATHMANDU, Oct 10: As many as 871 people recovered from COVID-19 in Nepal on Sunday, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population. Similarly, Nepal recorded 596 new cases of COVID-19 and 10 deaths from the deadly virus on the same day.
There are currently 15,024 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 13,859 are in home isolation, 1,165 in institutional isolation, 322 in ICUs and 113 on ventilators. Similarly, 234 people are currently in quarantine facilities.

As many as 12,404 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Sunday - 9,237 PCR tests and 3,167 antigen tests.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 243 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 172 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 18 in Bhaktapur and 53 in Lalitpur districts.
